Throughout dental school and afterwards, whilst working in general practice David developed a passion for endodontics and sought some advice from a local Specialist on the possibilities for career progression. Despite Richard’s best attempts at dissuasion, he pursued this interest. To date the decision is without regret and his passion undiminished.
He takes satisfaction in being able to help patients to save their natural teeth. The opportunity to play around with the innumerable and ever-developing endodontic gadgets and gizmos helps too!
David qualified in 2004 from Leeds Dental Institute. After entering general practice, he completed the Eastman Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics in 2008. In 2010 he was accepted onto the Masters in Endodontics programme at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, graduating with distinction and winning the Dentsply Maillefer Endodontic Prize for the highest clinical and academic achievement.
Subsequently David limited his practice to Endodontics and was invited by Richard to join the Academy Fellowship Scheme in 2014. In 2019 he was made Partner and Co-Director.
David also works as a Speciality Doctor and Honorary Clinical Teacher in Endodontology, at the Eastman Dental Hospital, supervising training specialists.
He is married with three children. David loves film and used to have a keen interest in current affairs, before it all became too awful.
David is registered with the General Dental Council No. 83425
